Summer lift pass prices
If you are staying in Chamonix for a few days then the summer lift pass to get is the Multipass Mont-Blanc. This pass allows you to take the incredible journey on Europe’s highest cable car (Aiguille du midi) to the viewing platforms for Mont Blanc and the glaciers. Also included are the cable cars for Brevent, Flegere and Le Tour, Mont Blanc Tramway and Montenvers train to the Sea of Ice glacier.
Individual lift passes can also be purchased too.

Alternatively you can just buy your lift pass from any of the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc cash desks at the bottom of the lifts on the day.
Walking & Hiking
There are some beautiful walks which can start right outside the accommodation front door. If you want a gentle stroll along the river l’Arve or more strenuous hike up the mountain, all walks are well signposted around Chamonix and you can also pick up a map from the local tourist office.
Chamonix is stunning in the summer months with its incredible alpine scenery, lakes, flowers and alpine animals too.

Chamonix offers some of the most extensive rock & ice climbing in the Alps, catering for complete beginners to advanced. There are a number of good climbing areas to get you started including the cliffs at Les Gaillands right by the Le Vert Hotel and the Mont Block apartments.

Parapenting / Paragliding - Discounts available
If you have the chance you should definitely try this whilst in Chamonix. You’ll be swept away by the experience and the unbelievable jaw dropping, bird’s eye views of the Chamonix Valley below.

Fly with a professional instructor (BEES 1st degree), specialist in tandem flights. During this amazing experience, if you want to, you will also have the opportunity to learn the basics of piloting yourself, as our instructors allows you to pilot a little on your descent.
If you are interested in doing a course to learn to parapente, then the 'discovery day' will give you a taste of this thrilling sport where you will do a tandem jump and also spend time learning to use the glider on the ground experiencing your first sensations of lift.
Tandem jumps start from 75 euros per person, off the Plaine Joux in PAssy, right up to 160 euros to fly all the way down from the Plan d'Aiguille!

Chamonix has become known for some of the best mountain biking in the French Alps. Chamonix Valley and the surrounding areas offer trails for all levels of riders from the experienced to complete beginners. There are 6 lift stations in Chamonix which open around June to September months, giving you access to forest trails, valley riding and breathtaking views along the way.

Chamonix Golf Club - Golf de Chamonix



Why not take away the hassle and get us to organise your golf whilst in Chamonix. We can book tee times, pay for your round and even arrange club hire, and buggies to ensure you get to play when you want you. Chamonix Golf club is a fantastic course, with some beautiful holes. In the picturesque village of Les Praz, a few minutes away from Chamonix centre by car, the course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior and is a challenging course with tricky water hazards and bunkers. The club is open to non-members.(open May - November depending on the snow conditions late season).

Sports Centre
The sports centre in Chamonix has a host of activities to offer the whole family. The aqua centre has four pools, one indoor, a children’s pool, a paddling pool and also an outdoor pool with diving board and winding fun slides. There are tennis and squash courts, and an ice skating rink where you can also watch the ice hockey matches!

This treat is for men as well as women - simply relax, pamper yourself with a beauty treatment or a muscular massage after an active day on the mountain, this spa is fantastic. Hameau Albert, within the Hotel Albert, has a team of physiotherapists and beauticians offering an extensive range of treatments including massage, body wraps, facials and a fitness programme. If you book one of their treatments you can also make use of the pool and Jacuzzi in a chalet style building with large glass front looking out onto Mont Blanc.

There's plenty for children to do in summer. They can join any one of the children's clubs, go pony riding, ice-skating, karting, mini-golf, swimming to name a few.
There is also the summer luge and Parcours in Planpraz.


Paradis des Praz - In Les Praz is a great children’s play area with pony rides and you can also buy refreshments and food here too. To get to this play area go to the car park at the back of the golf course, take the path beside the river, over the bridge and it's a short distance from there. Angela can also point you in the right direction when you arrive at your accommodation.
There is also the Adventure Park Planards. Children love this place with the summer Luge and other fun rides to keep then entertained for hours www.planards.com

Alternatively you can visit the Tourist Information Centre whilst in Chamonix. They will have a list of all activities for children.

There are also plenty of crèche facilities in the valley, packed with fun activities for the children whilst you enjoy a day of fun too. We can advise you on these or you can visit the Tourist Information Centre for more information on arrival.
